Local councillor labels the scheme an ‘outrage’

THE REGIONAL government has given the go-ahead to build a campsite ‘resort’ in a Special Protection Area (SPA) in the Sierra Escalona near Torremendo, according to Orihuela council spokesman Rafael Almagro.
The project now depends on final approval of the town hall and an environmental impact assessment.
