A fierce forest fire that started on Thursday in La Romaneta – which lies between Monóvar and La Romana – has been extinguished by fire fighters.
Alicante provincial fire service reported yesterday (Sunday) morning that the three-day emergency had been declared over at 11.00.
A total of 140 hectares of countryside was burned.
