An early warning system for extreme flooding has been set up in the Vega Baja area by the provincial government and water company Hidraqua.
This tool, called Smart River Basins, is designed to improve councils’ ability to respond and thus mitigate the devastating effects of phenomena like the torrential September 2019 storm.
