Firefighters spent all day Sunday tackling a blaze at a wrecking yard in Catral.
They were alerted at around 06.45 after flames took hold in the premises which stands close to AP-7 motorway.
A spokesman for the provincial fire service reported that more than 40 vehicles had been affected.
