Two delivery service company staff have been detained for stealing a package which contained 1.6 kilos of marijuana.
According to a National Police spokeswoman, the employees had noticed a ‘very strong smell’ of the drug coming from the parcel.
A police investigation was launched by the drug squad based in Alicante city after the courier company bosses reported the theft to the security services.
