The number of ‘active’ cases of coronavirus in the Valencia region continues to go down – and now stands at 3,878.
Councillor for health Ana Barceló reported 151 new infections today, with 192 recoveries.
The number of patients being treated for the virus in hospital continues to fall – down from 674 yesterday to 651 today.
Another reduction in the number of patients in intensive care was recorded, down from 127 yesterday to 119 today.
She noted that there have been nine more deaths in the region taking the total to 1,253 (445 of those in Alicante province).
In Alicante province there are 1,032 ‘active cases’, with 170 patients in hospital and 42 in intensive care wards.
