Bars and restaurants in Alicante province and Murcia have been taking advantage of new rules under phase one of the government’s exit plan which allow them to open their terraces and cater for up to 50% of normal capacity.
For the first time in two months residents in some areas were able to have a drink or meal in the sun – and expressed their delight at being able to enjoy this simple pleasure.
