The level of alert for storms for Alicante province today (Monday) has been increased from yellow to orange by state weather agency AEMET.
They note that cloudbursts could contain hail.
The orange warning runs from 16.00 until midnight.
Then a yellow warning runs from midnight until 04.00 tomorrow.
