A haul of illegal knives and machetes were seized from a street seller in Arboleas market last month.
The Guardia Civil released details of the operation only last week, saying that agents from Zurgena came across the weapons during a routine inspection. The weapons included nun chucks, seven switch blades, two bayonets and 22 machetes – all of which are banned under Spanish law.
The street seller, a Russian man, received a fine.
