A donkey has been found beaten and tortured to death in Turre after it was stolen from its owner last week.
According to reports the animal, an 11-year-old male called Alfalfero, was taken last Wednesday night (June 23) while he grazed on a plot of land called La Huerta, between the river bed and the village’s line of eucalyptus trees.
On Sunday (June 26), Alfalfero was found dead by a passer-by less than two kilometres from where he had been stolen.
