A Moroccan man who spent time living in Almería has been arrested in connection with a foiled terror attack on a French train more than two years ago.
The suspected jihadist, a 35-year-old man whose identity has not been revealed, is believed to have belonged to the same cell headed by gunman Ayoub El Khazzani, who planned to massacre passengers on the Amsterdam to Paris express train in August 2015, the Spanish interior ministry said.
The man was caught in Paris last Wednesday (February 14) as part of a joint French and Spanish police operation, which included the help of a brigade from Almería.
