Hundreds of people gathered outside Almería’s Cervantes theatre last weekend to see world famous actress Sophia Loren unveil her star in the city’s ‘Walk of Fame’.
The veteran movie star, who last came to the province 46 years ago to film ‘The Sin’, was in town to receive the Almería ‘Land of film’ International Film Festival award, an honour previously awarded to fellow silver screen icons such as Omar Sharif and Catherine Deneuve.
Her star is now the latest in the row of tributes to movie greats connected with the province that line the pavement just off the main Paseo shopping street.
