Arboleas has a new household waste site for recycling and the safe disposal of items that cannot be thrown away in domestic containers.
The site, which cost around €400,000 to build, will help the 4,700 residents of Arboleas comply with European regulations on waste disposal that oblige member countries to deal with waste products “adequately”, including recycling of re-usable materials and safe treatment of hazardous substances.
The facility includes designated loading and unloading areas and lanes leading to specific areas and containers for disposal of different types of waste.
