A new regional government strategy to address air pollution across Andalucía is on the table, with the aim of cracking down on contamination and improving air quality.
The Junta announced the new Andalucían Air Quality Strategy (EACA) this week, allocating €2m a year until 2020 to carry out an “exhaustive diagnosis” of air quality in all parts of the region.
The news comes just one month after environmental action group Ecologistas en Acción (EA) revealed the entire regional population was breathing polluted air during spring and summer this year.
