The much vaunted next generation of speed traps have arrived in the province, with the first one now operating on the N-344 outside Almería city, near Retamar.
These “intelligent speed traps”, as they are known, are able to detect whether drivers are using a mobile phone, wearing a seatbelt or lacking insurance.
