A social media appeal for information about a seemingly unidentified elderly hospital patient with memory loss doing the rounds on Whatsapp has been exposed as fake news.
The picture of an elderly man dressed in a hospital gown appeared in the newly created Mojacar ‘Alertas y Seguridad’ (alerts and security) group last week, with the caption: “This person is alone in Torrecárdenas hospital and doesn’t remember who he is, please re-send this photo to your contacts in case someone recognizes him.”
