Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger could be returning to Almería in the summer to shoot scenes for the latest instalment of the Terminator sci-fi franchise, according to reports.
The veteran 70-year-old actor will once again play an almost indestructible android sent back in time to protect humankind.
According to reports, filming will begin in June. Although it appears Hungary has been chosen as the main film location, some of the scenes will also be shot in the Tabernas desert.
Schwarzenegger was last in Almería in September 2014 to receive an award for his contribution to film-making in the province, as part of the 1982 sword-and-sorcery epic ‘Conan’ was shot here.
