Eleven people were injured last Saturday evening in Garrucha after a row over the price of a plate of prawns turned into a riot in the La Barca restaurant.
The owner received a head wound after being struck with a broken glass. Police rushed the man to the local medical centre for stitches, while the Guardia Civil had to control a crowd of dozens of curious onlookers who gathered in the main street, blocking traffic.
The matter appears to have been caused by a dispute over the price of a plate of Garrucha’s famous large red prawns.
