A day of violence at Almería city’s Rio Andarax secondary school has caused consternation in the province and laid bare the extent of a knife problem among teenagers.
Last Wednesday saw a ‘black day’ for the school, after a 17-year-old boy was knifed between classes inside the school during an argument with a 14-year-old boy, journalists covering the situation were attacked and a teacher was hurt by a parent.
The injured youth suffered a gash to one arm and a serious knife wound to the chest, but is expected to make a full recovery.
