A stall holder in Turre market has been arrested for allegedly trying to sell jars of cannabis.
The incident happened earlier this month (on February 9). The individual, a 54-year-old British woman from Sorbas, was caught red-handed by Guardia Civil officers just as she was handing over two glass jars filled with the illegal drug to a man in the street market.
According to the Guardia the man, who is also British and a Sorbas resident, admitted he had bought the drug from the woman, adding that she “normally sold” the cannabis from the van “she transports her vegetables in”.
