Holidaymakers got the shock of their lives last week when a boar suddenly appeared on a popular beach in Cabo de Gata and decided to go for a dip in the sea.
The incident reputedly happened on the famous Genoveses beach. Video footage taken by a member of staff at a nearby hotel shows the animal sniffing the water’s edge before boldly rushing in.
The boar appears to be in a mischievous mood as it suddenly dashes out of the water and charges towards a male bather, who shoos it away.
