Almería has some of the most expensive tap water in the country, according to a new study by the National Union of Consumers (OCU).

The price of 10 cubic metres of water as supplied by utility company Aqualia is currently €19.45 in the capital city. The national average is €17.

Users in the east of the province who are connected to Galasa will eye these figures with envy. According to data obtained by CA News, a bill for 10m3 of water from Galasa will now cost domestic users €23.44. Before the May tariff increase, the bill would have been €19.60.
