Being honest, at the start of this year, I did wonder if there might be a possibility of beginning my annual ‘Highlights’ article with something very similar to last year’s. In December 2017 I waxed lyrical (odd phrase that, isn’t it!) about the fantastic experience I’d had visiting Romania for the International Wine Contest Bucharest, and I was hoping to be invited to judge again for the 2018 version!
I was too, but sadly, I was already committed to another event – a rather special birthday of my lovely wife www.clairemarie.com and of course it would have been more than my life’s worth to miss such an occasion! You know what I mean, fellers?
