A group of residents and business owners in Mijas Pueblo held a demonstration outside the town hall last Friday in a new protest over the remodel work underway in Plaza Virgen de la Peña and planned in other parts of the historic quarter. They denounced the various elements of the project including loss of parking in the town centre, the removal of trees and what they call an overly modern aesthetic.
