The first 25 MIT licences have been awarded to homes constructed in Llíber more than 20 years ago – although they are not yet ‘legal’.
Veteran campaigner Adrian Hobbs said: “This has been a long and harrowing journey for many, many people in Llíber, very similar in fact to the UK’s Post Office scandal.”
Originally 292 homes were identified in the municipality as being illegal.
