When a few women managed to escape from an apartment in Denia where they were being forced to work as prostitutes, an investigation was launched which resulted in 10 arrests and 11 victims being freed.
This began in November, when these terrified women managed to call the free helpline for victims of sexual trafficking or exploitation (900 10 50 90).
