THE VALENCIA region led the nation in terms of reduced unemployment figures for November, with 15,330 fewer people registered as out of work, down 4.32% on the month before, according to figures from the ministry for work.
Indeed, the fall in unemployment in the region represents about half of the reduction for the whole country, noted regional employment secretary Enric Nomdedéu.
The national total dropped by a total of 33,512 to 2,881,380, going down in 26 provinces led by Valencia (-8,620), Madrid (-7,757) and Alicante (-4,757).
He also highlighted the ‘extremely positive’ data for the number of people paying social security contributions, which increased by 21,064 to reach new record high.
