On April 11, the ministry for ecological transitionās coasts department (Costas) authorised the necessary work to repair damage to coasts in south-east Spain.
This includes replacing the sediment lost from Playa de los Locos with 2,500 tonnes of sand with the same physical and chemical characteristics (colour, composition, size of grains) as that which was used to restore the beach in 2019.
