The Valencia region has more Blue Flags for its beaches and ports than any other region in Spain – with Alicante province top of the list.
Regional councillor for the ecological transition, Mireia Mollà noted that 139 beaches – two more than last year – and 19 ports would be flying the flag this year in the region.
