The provincial fire brigade reported that their specialist mountain team carried out a rescue that lasted most of Saturday night.
A spokesman for the service explained that two climbers had ‘surprised’ by the rain that started to fall that evening as they were finishing their descent on Puig Campana, the 1,408-metre-high peak behind Benidorm.
