Two young Britons fell around seven metres from Punta Prima promenade onto concrete paving on the beach below at around 19.30 on Wednesday evening.
A 22-year-old man died almost instantly due to serious head injuries and a 21 year old was resuscitated by the emergency services and taken to hospital in Alicante by helicopter.
