THE regional authorities have approved a new contract to improve current coach services and for new direct services to Alicante-Elche airport and the AVE high-speed train station from several Costa towns lacking such public transport link.
In the future, 13 buses will be covering the routes, that will provide a direct coach to the airport and tourist destinations, the AVE station will be connected to the University, and services between the Alicante city and other towns will see improvement.
Altea, Alfaz del PI, Pedreguer, Gata de Gorgos, Dénia, Teulada, Benissa and Jávea do not currently have a coach service to the airport.
