THE number of people that have gone down with the disease in the region is already five times as large as the total from last year.
Just over four months away from closing out the year, a total 131 cases of measles have been confirmed, which compared to 2016’s total of 7 is a whopping 1,800% increase. This comeback is especially significant for a disease that was technically considered eradicated in Spain last year, and has severely affected the health centres of Valencia, Manises and Castellón.
