SPAIN’S new S-80 Plus submarines have provided another headache for the ministry for defence.
They claimed notoriety a couple of years ago because they were too heavy and did not float, leading to a very costly design change – and now the ministry has found they are too long to dock in the navy’s harbour in Cartagena.
