HEAVY machinery was at work on the pebble beaches of Jávea this week as the resort prepares for the annual influx of visitors during the high season.
The stones are levelled each year to cover rocks and effects of the winter ‘onslaught’ of the high seas brought by storms.
Lifeguards and first aid points have return to the beaches of Calpe since the weekend as the summer season officially started at the resort and in Denia lorryloads of sand scooped up from a beach near the Oliva border have been used once again to make Blay beach useable until next time it rains.
