A new speed radar on the A-397, between San Pedro and Ronda, came into operation earlier this month. Covering both directions of a stretch of road between kilometre points 28 and 30.05, described as a winding road with “steep slopes and few straight sections” by Spain’s Home Office, drivers now have to travel at no faster than 60kph to avoid potential fines. The new radar is the fifth on the A-397.
