Russia’s honorary consul in Las Palmas was detained on Friday on suspicion of an assault on his former wife. The alleged victim who works in the Canary Islands Consulate denounced him for threatening to fire her, forcing her expulsion from Spain back to Russia. She claimed he has molested and harassed repeatedly and said he would seek custody of their son.
