The chemistry department of Málaga University’s science faculty had to be evacuated last week, following an accident involving a toxic solvent. Lab staff were storing bottles last Wednesday when a shelf broke, leading to the spillage. According to the dean, Antonio Flores, protocol was followed but classes were not affected as they were relocated, with the substance removed by specialists on Thursday.
