A woman who nearly died after her partner cut her throat in the El Puche district of Almería city is recovering in Torrecárdenas hospital.
The alleged assailant, a 42-year-old north African man, hanged himself in a greenhouse after attacking the victim at their home with a knife last Sunday, slitting her neck and causing a number of stab wounds.
The incident comes just two weeks after a Cuevas woman was killed by her partner who also committed suicide by hanging himself. The latest victim, a 30-year-old Moroccan woman, managed to survive despite massive blood loss.
