THE parents of Lucía Vivar, the three-year-old girl who was found dead on the train tracks after going missing from the Pizarra station in July, said last week that a private forensic report indicates her death may not have been caused by being hit by a train.
The official investigation has to date indicated that Lucía’s death was an accident – that she became lost and walked some four kilometres along the tracks in the dark before finally falling asleep, and was hit by the first passing train in the morning, killed by a single hard blow to the head.
