The public prosecutor is to seek four years in prison for Manilva mayor Mario Jiménez, and eight years for former mayor Antonia Muñoz, for alleged misappropriation of public funds in relation to the town hall having provided financing for the El Hacho urbanisation near the La Duquesa port in 2008. Mayor Jiménez has said the funding was just temporary loans that were returned to the town hall. No trial date has yet been set.
