Unemployment in Andalucía rose by 2.1 per cent in August to 831,600, following five consecutive months of decreases. Most jobs were lost in the services sector, followed by construction. Nationally, the total seeking work rose by 46,400 last month to 3.38 million while there were almost 179,500 fewer people paying Social Security contributions.
