The Caminto del Rey was closed for an hour as a precaution last week after fire broke out on Sierra de Almorchón. Two aircraft were sent to support a dozen ground crew but the outbreak was found to be minor. The incident was reported to be “quite remote” from the gorge and there were no reports of injury or serious damage.
