Tráfico received €164 million in fines from speeding motorists last year. The amount generated by fixed and mobile radar traps was around €37 million more than the total in 2015 with Andalucía named as the region in which drivers contributed most, totalling over €36 million in 2016. The figures exclude Cataluña and the Basque Country which have their own traffic control operations.
