Urgent fumigations have been ordered in some Málaga parks after this year’s pine processionary caterpillars made an early appearance thanks to mild weather. The insects, which are dangerous to animals and can cause respiratory problems in humans, are already on the ground in the Ciudad Jardín and Cerrado de Calderón districts. Pet owners are urged to keep their dogs away from areas of pine trees.
