The parents from Lleida accused of spending donations received after claiming their daughter required expensive medical care have received a court order to pay a civil liability bond of over €1.2 million, or face their assets being embargoed. According to police, they received €918,000 from the public of which €600,000 was spent, but only a very small amount of this went towards medical care.
