Four people were rescued in Mojacar last week after the vehicle they were travelling in got stuck in a flooded river.
The incident happened during a heavy downpour on Thursday morning (December 1). The four occupants – a man in his 60s and three women – got into trouble when their 4×4 vehicle became embedded nose first after it fell into the ‘rambla’ on a beach in Macenas.
A Guardia Civil patrol from Garrucha arrived at the scene, but the occupants, although drenched and cold, were able to get out of the vehicle by themselves.
However, two motorhomes on the same beach were also stuck in the mud and the Guardia were needed to rescue their four occupants, who were otherwise unharmed.
