A by-law regulating the conditions and use of the dog park in Torre del Mar was passed last week by Vélez town council. The legislation includes a clause confirming that users can let their pets bathe in the sea off El Mortero beach. In September, ecologists called for the closure of the area which opened in August, claiming it to be “manifestly illegal.”
