Two Mojacar estate agents who took a stand at the ‘Place in the Sun’ overseas property show in Birmingham last weekend say lawyers and property experts advised those who are ‘serious about moving to Spain’ to act fast while existing regulations are still in place.
Brits who are keen to relocate to Spain are being told to “go now”, according to agents Steven Howlett from VIP Almeria and Alex Lawson from New Wave Villas.
Visitors to the annual ‘Place in the Sun’ property show in Birmingham last week were down by around 25 per cent on last year – 6,500 compared to 8,500 – according to Mr Lawson, but those that were there were “more serious about buying”.
