THE owner of a pair of pitbulls which attacked two Dénia cyclists has been tracked down and arrested.
To avoid being traced, he had given away one of the dogs to a shelter in Elda, police say, and authorities have now handed the other other to APAD in Dénia.
Two Spaniards ended up in hospital after the accused, aged 30, allowed his unmuzzled dogs off the lead and they chased the cyclists along the Las Marinas road in the Nova Dénia area.
